DESCRIPTION: APW - Waltham, Premier Maximus with winding indicator, 23J, 16S, heavy 14K gold OF original Waltham Premier Maximus case with Jürgensen-style lips, five-knuckle hinges, gold cuvette with elaborate signature ring bearing matching mvt s# and also a 1921 presentation engraving, "Waltham Premier Maximus" marked white enamel quadruple-sunk dial, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement, three visible diamond endstones, jeweled barrel, raised gold jewel settings with large gold plate caps for fourth wheel and escape wheel, circular pattern nickel damascene, s#17000158 with matching serial number to cuvette signature ring. Gross weight of assembled watch 69.7 dwt (108.4 g). An excellent original example of this top grade prestige watch, this example notably has matching movement and cuvette signature ring serial number which for some reason is surprisingly challenging to find among Premier Maximus production as many extant examples have unmatched serial numbers.
